Mr G. Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director, of the company received the award from the Finance Minster, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, at a function held on September 1 in Mumbai, according to a company press release.

 

The city-based United India was selected for the award out of the 23 non-life insurers in the country. Having completed Rs 5,239 crore of gross premium in 2009-10, it plans to cross Rs 6,000 crore in the current fiscal. It is targeting to recruit one lakh agents by March 2012 to drive its retail growth, the release says.
